Mudshrimps Review and Giveaway!

Everyone loves a good work at home mom (WAHM) made diaper. You can find some of the most unique prints. It's also a great way to get custom made diapers. It can be difficult to find reviews for WAHM made diapers and that may turn some people off to buying them. I'm usually one of those people. I have a chunky guy and the first WAHM diaper I had fit him for all of a couple weeks. This made me extremely sad since it was an adorable diaper! I figured there were others out there in the same boat as me, so I wanted to bring you a review for a WAHM diaper. I reached out to Amber, owner of Mudshrimps, and asked her if I could review one of her custom made pocket diapers. She was extremely generous and let me put in a request for a custom. I chose a very adorable Star Wars print. I'll admit, I let my husband pick out the fabric for this diaper because he puts up with my crazy obsession of diapers. (He's such a trooper!)

Mudshrimps come in either a cover or a pocket diaper. The pocket diapers do not come with inserts. You can either get it in aplix or snaps and can choose which size you would like. Sizes include: extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, mini onesize and onesize. I chose a onesize diaper, which made me nervous because of the previous WAHM diaper that claimed to be onesize didn't fit Monkey very well. However, the fit of the Mudshrimps diaper is outstanding! While he is on the largest rise setting of this diaper, he has plenty of room to grow. Usually when we put a diaper on, he's on either the third or second (sometimes even the first) snap in. I was able to snap the diaper all the way to the middle without it being too tight. This was extremely pleasing to see. The tabs are squared which helps with wing drooping.

I love the quality of this diaper. The snaps are extremely durable, so I don't have to worry about any breaking off. All covers and pockets come with an outer print, a hidden layer of procare waterproof fabric, suede cloth inner and encased elastic. There are so many great prints and colors to choose from. Like I said, we chose the Star Wars print for our pocket diaper. I do wish the Star Wars fabric had come down a few more inches so I could see about half of the Star Wars print and half of the blue fabric. She did a great job of matching the Star Wars print with the blue fabric she used and the red snaps. This diaper is very aesthetically pleasing and looks great on the bum!

Our Star Wars diaper was so easy to use. Stuffing pocket diapers is my least favorite thing to do, but this one isn't so bad. With a large enough opening I can stuff it and adjust the insert so that it's flat and nice and neat inside the diaper. While the snaps are extremely durable, they are also very easy for me to snap closed on my squirmy 18 month old. It fits great around his legs without any gaps, which will hold messes in. Leg gaps are the worst, so I'm happy we don't have that issue with this diaper.

If you have been looking at WAHM made diapers and haven't committed to buying one, give Mudshrimps a try. They are great quality and very affordable diapers. Amber is extremely nice and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend her diapers to anyone wanting a custom diaper made. The sizing is generous and the quality is amazing. Amber has been extremely generous to offer one of my lucky readers a $10 code! (I told you she was pretty awesome, didn't I?!)

I was given a Mudshrimps diaper to review. I was not compensated and all opinions are my own. Winner will be emailed by me and must claim their prize within 48 hours or a new winner will be chosen. There are 2 mandatory entries and the winning entry will be verified.
